The U8310 Desktop Variable Optical Attenuator offers superior performance for channel balancing, power equalization, gain tilt and power adjustment of DWDM systems, EDFA, Interleaver, WSS, OPM, DPSK, AWG & PLC components, optical amplifiers, and other general purpose fiber optic test and measurement applications.
The U8310 has a 0~40 dB of continuously variable high dynamic attenuation range, with a superb performance, a compact size, fast startup, and an affordable price. It provides single channel and dual or Four channel optical attenuator module options. This instrument also can provide high channel count solution up to 32 channels.
A benchtop optical attenuator is an optical measuring instrument used to measure optical power or attenuation of optical fibers. It can be used to detect the connection quality of optical fiber network, optical fiber loss and optical fiber failure. When using a bench optical attenuator, the optical fiber to be measured is connected to the measuring end, and then the light emitted by the light source is transmitted to the optical attenuator through the optical fiber, and then the optical attenuation value is calculated by the intensity of the attenuator optical signal after attenuation.
The advantages of benchtop optical attenuators are high measurement accuracy, good stability, easy operation and maintenance.
